Warranty & Care
100% Pure Latex Mattresses and Visco Elastic Mattresses
Warranty:
- 10 year structural warranty (does not include Classic Latex or Comfort Visco mattresses which both have a 5 year diminishing warranty - reduces by 20% per annum).
- Guaranteed up to a weight of 100kg for each person
- Warranty is diminishing and is reduced by 10% per annum
- Warranty covers physical defects and any changes which cause depressions of more than 25mm in the latex or visco elastic material
The warranty does not cover:
- Depressions in the mattress of less than 25mm
- Removable covers – including handles (if applicable) and ventilation band
- Small manufacturing irregularities that do not affect the performance of the mattress
- Comfort issues relating to customers preferences
- Damage caused by rough handling or being placed on the incorrect type of base (see Care Instructions)
Care Instructions:
- Mattresses should be placed on a slat base or a base which allows ventilation around the mattress
- Slats should not be spaced more than 7cm apart
- A thin 100% cotton mattress protector (available from The Comfort Shop) should be used to absorb moisture and extend the life of the mattress and mattress cover
- Latex mattresses only: rotate your mattress end-to-end one month and turn your mattress over the next, to ensure even wear on both sides
- Visco Elastic mattresses only: rotate end-to-end each month – do not turn over
- Do not expose the mattress to dampness or moisture
- Removable covers can be washed (at 60 degrees maximum – see mattress tag) or dry-cleaned – due to the bulky size of the covers, dry-cleaning or professional laundering is recommended
Pillows
Warranty:
- 5 year structural warranty
The warranty does not cover:
- Removable covers
- Small manufacturing irregularities that do not affect performance
- Comfort issues relating to customers preferences
Care Instructions:
- Removable covers can be machine washed (at 60 degrees maximum) or dry-cleaned / lay flat to dry – do not tumble dry
- It is recommended to air pillows regularly to keep them fresh
Recliner Chairs & Lounges
Warranty:
- Lafer Recliner Chairs & Lounges - 3 year structural warranty
- BenchMaster Recliner Chairs - 2 year structural warranty
- Rest Away Lifter Chair - 2 year structural warranty
- Bed Sofa - 2 year structural warranty
- Luonto Sofa Beds - 2 year structural warranty
- Guaranteed for use up to a weight of 100kg
- Covers physical defects which prevent the normal operation of the recliner / lounge
The warranty does not cover:
- Depressions or marks on the chair as a result of everyday wear and tear
- Damage caused by rough handling or misuse
- The chair being disassembled, tampered with or exposed to moisture
Care Instructions:
- Do not sit on the foldout footrest section as this may cause damage
- Ensure the chair is sitting on level flooring
- Leather should be cleaned weekly and remove any common marks using a clean damp cloth
- Leather care kits are recommended
Motorised recliners / lounges / lifter chair:
- Do not sit on the footrest when raised
- Do not disassemble or tamper with the motor
- Ensure the motor is kept free from moisture
Bed Bases & Bed Surrounds
Warranty:
- 5 year structural warranty
- Guaranteed up to a weight of 100kg for each person / each side of the bed base
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by rough handling or misuse
- The bed base or bed surround being disassembled, tampered with or exposed to moisture
Care Instructions:
- Do not stand or jump on the slats or frame
- Do not disassemble the slats from the base or frame
- Ensure your bed base or bed surround is properly assembled and/or installed
Manual adjustable / Electric adjustable bases:
- Do not sit on the foot or head of the base when raised
- Do not detach the motor from the base or tamper with the motor
- Ensure the motor is kept free from moisture
- Electric bases have a tolerance of up to 3cm in the final incline level for the backrest and leg rest
Wall Beds
Warranty:
- 5 year structural warranty – includes the mattress supplied (if applicable)
- Guaranteed up to a weight of 100kg for each person / each side
The warranty does not apply:
- If the wall bed has not been properly installed following the manufacturer's installation instructions – The Comfort Shop recommends installation by a licensed builder, carpenter or tradesperson
- To any faults or damage caused to / or as a result of a supporting wall
- If inappropriate use or rough handling is evident
- If the wall bed has not been properly maintained (see Care Instructions)
Care Instructions:
- The Italian manufacturer recommends a licensed builder, carpenter or tradesperson periodically (every 12 months) inspect installed wall beds to ensure the wall bed continues to operate safely and correctly
